TI Academy exists to provide and promote affordable musical arts education for students who desire to explore music in a variety of forms. Through musical expression students can discover how music can serve others by creating community. Musical expression also provides hope in the face of poverty, addiction and pain. We are here for all of that.

Bringing music lessons to our community with heart and dedication, making learning accessible for everyone. TI Academy is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Private lessons, immersive jazz education, recording worshops, and an entire Tacoma Area Homeschool Music program.

The Tacoma Area Homeschool Band

The Tacoma Area Homeschool Band offers low-cost music programming to students of the greater Tacoma area through community-oriented group classes in Band, Choir, Violin/Viola, Guitar, Ukulele, Drums, and Percussion

Affordable reduced rate and scholarship one-on-one personalized music lessons with a personal mentor that will teach you, lead you, guide you, encourage you, and when necessary and you are ready, challenge you.

Immersive Jazz Education

Immersive jazz education places musicians directly into intense, collaborative environments like small groups, big bands, masterclasses, live jam sessions, and community events to build real-time improvisation and collaborative skills. Rather than just studying sheet music, students learn jazz as a spoken language by listening, reacting, and playing in real time. Some of our students also have the opportunity to work together with our recording faculty to record new music as well.
